As If We're Living In Rwanda

Mr. Bush, contrary to Kanye West's appeal, does indeed care about Black People. Except, the problem is, he's afraid of them. After all, how would it look on TV if the mighty President of the United States descended from his AF1 flyover and had to actually face up to the ppor, neglected, and predominantly black groups of people who had suffered horrendously due to his piss-poor leadership?
One prominent African-American supporter of Mr. Bush who is close to Karl Rove, the White House political chief, said the president did not go into the heart of New Orleans and meet with black victims on his first trip there, last Friday, because he knew that White House officials were "scared to death" of the reaction.

"If I'm Karl, do I want the visual of black people hollering at the president as if we're living in Rwanda?" said the supporter, who spoke only anonymously because he did not want to antagonize Mr. Rove.
There are some that would argue, Mr. President, that the fact that we treated these folks with the same discordant, horrendous rescue that this is irrelevent. Having them shout at you for feeling neglected is not the same problem as actually neglecting them.

You Asshole.
