Hunger Strike

Tens of thousands of Americans were forced to go hungry through Hurricane Katrina last week due to our incompetent Federal Government. Likewise, in our War on Terror, 90 inmates in Guantanamo have engaged in hunger strikes of choice, also protesting our incompetent Federal Government.
A hunger strike by detainees at the US Guantanamo Bay prison camp has entered a second month, says the US military.

A prison spokesman said 87 inmates were still taking part in the strike that began on 8 August. Lawyers for the prisoners put the figure at 210.

Ten prisoners were being fed through nose tubes and were in a "stable" condition, the spokesman added.

A lawyer said the inmates were prepared to strike until they got a fair hearing and humane treatment or died.
Their rights are respected as much as the American's rights: Now, as a foreigner or Citizen, you have the right to a permanent detention without every having charges brought upon you, and you have the right to starve. Either by choice, or by neglect.

Welcome to America! The Happiest Celebration on Earth!
