After the Slums

Amnesty International has released "secret" footage of the desperation and squalor that has been forced upon the poorest urbanites in Zimbabwe as a result of Robert Mugabe's choice to bulldoze their homes in the Harare slums. 700,000 were displaced from their already paltry homes in a supposed "effort to clean up" Harare. Several people were killed: grandmothers too weak and ill to leave the shacks they've lived in for years, babies whose mothers were away, simply bulldozed to death.

But Mugabe doesn't need international assistance, right? Well, except for China, who is more than willing to help.

This story is incredible, the film is heartbreaking.
