Flashbacks and Deja Vu: Brit Edition

Across the pond, The Man is back to his language games. It's basically as though they ripped a page out of 2002 Americana here. A little surreal, a little stupid, but mostly, just shortsighted. This time, if you question why an innocent man was killed by being shot in the head 8 times and then question why the government and police force was so intent on covering up the facts of his death, then the... say it with me... Terrorists have Won!
Police and independent investigators were warned yesterday that the public row over the shooting of Jean Charles de Menezes risked undermining the fight against terrorists.
Ahhhhhh yes. That felt good. It takes me back to a time when Big Fat Greek Wedding was a staple in every theatre; when John Paul II was just really ill; before Roy Horn got eaten by Montecore; when potheads equaled terrorists; when whistleblowers were king; when the US was planning to Invade Iraq.

Yes, 2002 was a good year. And take note, fellow Brits: if you turn your Blog into reminescent "I love the 00's," then the TERRORISTS HAVE WON!

[PS - I'm sick of this shit.]
