Our President, who art Firm in his Beliefs and True to his Word, dost hold a high ethical standard upon Those who work to further his Word. And, whilst Our President hath decreed the Truth, He who said upon us that "If anyone in this administration was involved in it , they would no longer be in this administration," and that, "If somebody did leak classified information, I'd like to know it, and we'll take the appropriate action," hath changed his tune:
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush on Monday shifted from a broad pledge to fire whoever leaked a covert CIA agent's identity, by vowing to dismiss any person found in federal probe to have committed a crime.

Bush, whose top political adviser Karl Rove has been caught up in the controversy, told reporters he did not know all the facts and urged them to wait until the inquiry was complete before "you jump to conclusions."

"I would like this to end as quickly as possible so we know the facts, and if someone committed a crime they will no longer work in my administration," Bush said at a news conference with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Asked on June 10, 2004, whether he stood by his earlier pledge to fire anyone found to have leaked the officer's name, Bush replied: "Yes." On Monday, he added the qualifier that it would have to be shown that a crime was committed.

The Democratic Party accused Bush of lowering the "ethics bar" in his new comments.

Bush, saying there was a "serious ongoing" inquiry under way into who revealed the identity of covert CIA agent Valerie Plame, refused as he did last week to comment on specifics of the case.

"I want to know all the facts," he said. "The best place for the facts to be done is by somebody who is spending time investigating it."

It is against the law for a government official to knowingly expose a covert CIA agent.

Bush's Moral Compass seems to only point straight forward, into "good and bad" dichotomies, so long as it isn't pointing directly at him. At that point... suddenly anything is available to nuance, patience, full knowledge and information.

Seems like the greatest waffling, flip flopping jobs of the era of The Administration come from The Administration themselves.

Keep in mind, as well, that as Cooper shifts the spotlight slight, and as questions over the genesis of the name continue to arise, as Rove continues with the position that he didn't supply the name, but that Novak gave it to him, this July 21, 2003 interview with Robert Novak is very clear:
Novak, in an interview, said his sources had come to him with the information. "I didn't dig it out, it was given to me," he said. "They thought it was significant, they gave me the name and I used it."

Wilson and others said such a disclosure would be a violation of the law by the officials, not the columnist.

Novak reported that his "two senior administration officials" told him that it was Plame who suggested sending her husband, Wilson, to Niger.
Play the games, boys. Waste the country's time with your trifling desires to play power games. You look more and more like the rich spoiled 8 year old brats on the playground, hoarding everything you can and declaring war on those who don't quite have it all. You look as spiteful and venegeful as a foolish spoiled group of 8 year old brats. Good work, guys. Good work.
