Exporting Democracy
The export of Democracy to stabalize the region of the Middle East, which is a leading theory explaining a justification The Administration used to take us to war in Iraq; the reverse dominoe theory; the stabalization of friendly democracies in the region.
It just hasn't looked so good to a lot of us.
And it hasn't looked so good this week, and this month. It has been one of the bloodiest months in Iraq. Suicide bombers are killing masses in Iraq, and the suicide bombers ['homicide bombers' to Fox News] in London seem to be both home-grown and with connections stretching the globe. The Gaza Strip has become alight again.
Hard to say eaxctly how much America's actions in the war in Iraq and the War on Terror have brought about any of this; but it's harder to say that we've succeeded in stopping it.
