Uninvited
Bill Frist was not invited to a prominent Evangelical political rally in favor of Tom DeLay. Frist addressed the first rally, "Justice Sunday," an April via videolink, but has been neglected for the follow-up "Justice Sunday II" rally even though it occurs in Tennessee, Frist's home state.
Many will talk about how Frist has fallen from prominence, and has had a futile effort in his leadership role during this term. Others will look at the ebbing tide of Fristians for, as Eschaton calls them, the coming tide of DeLaelians [heh heh heh...].
Another, useful way to consider this problem will be to think of the discordant precedent that the Evangelicals have just set with this turning-away precedent: no longer will any of the accepted sons of Evangelicalism be allowed any form of non-conformity. You must not reconsider your position. In fact, your position is our position, and that is all there is.
