Supreme Irony

I never would have expected to support he-who-helped-greenlight-legal-torture-of-detainees Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez, but even I can4t deny that as a moderate conservative he would likely be a far better choice to fill Sandra Day O'Connor's seat than those that the Dem's threatened to filibuster into footnoted history. Now, unlike those Dems who brought up Gonzales' role in the Torture Memos [and who should continue to raise the issue upon his potential nomination to the court] it's the conservatives who are pissed at Gonzalez!

Why? because there's room in his legal palette for both torture AND many social liberties AND a woman's right to self6determination of her body. Now THAT we can't have...
