Coming Soon: Nuclear Iran!

Coming to the global theatre near you, a newly rejuvinated Iranian nuclear program! That's okay- we can let two countries [that Bush labeled as Axis countries] slide... but I'll tell you what. Once that THIRD country pops up with nuclear ambitions, we're really going to get serious about this stuff.

With some seriousness: N. Korea and Iran should come as no surprise. This is an aggressive defense tactic for both of them due in part to the American declaration of their intentions toward Evil. Both see no option for their defense at this time other than the pursual of nuclear weapons. The US and the international community must face the realization that we have had some part in their desperation [consider the bordering countries of Iran- two bordering Arab countries toppled around them] and that we must enable them enough to show them there are other options for global participation, while at the same time disenabling their nuclear capabilities. But it is vital to approach this problem sensibly and seriously. We don't pretend to have all the answers... but we do know that these new nuclear threats need to be taken seriously.
