The Doubter

Pat Robertson dropped a mini-bombshell into the already divided conservative camps today concerning the nomination of Harriet Miers to the SCOTUS. On several Sunday morning talk shows he's stated his doubts as to whether Bush has any interest in Roe v. Wade being overturned. On Meet the Press, he said something like "I don't know if Bush even wants Roe v. Wade overturned. His wife doesn't want it. His mother doesn't want it. He refuses to directly answer any questions about it."

Robertson's critical comments come at a time when Conservatives are impressively embattled and fractioned. He's, intentionally or not, added fuel to a growing mutiny against The Administration from within his own supportive ranks.
