Armed Justice

In light of the recent courtroom shootings, where rogue gun-owners have attacked and targeted the justice system directly, North Dokota is choosing to arm the judges for a courtroom battle [or rather, allow them to arm themselves]:
"It wouldn't be a Wyatt Earp thing," said Guilford County Superior Court Judge W. Douglas Albright, who has a concealed weapons permit. Judges have to go through the same training everyone else does to obtain a permit, Albright said.
...

Judges interviewed for this story said that Guilford County has good courthouse security.

"I have never felt like I needed to have a gun at work," District Court Judge Susan Burch said. "I feel like when I'm in the courtroom, I'm very comfortable with what our sheriff's department does. I would probably just as soon have them be the ones to carry the guns."
Interesting. Hopefully these are "passive" judges and not Activist ones, cause then this could get hairy.
