O'Reilly, Malkin hate Sheehan
Taken from Atrios, but linked directly.
Michelle Malkin made an appearance on The Factor [listen or watch] ready and willing to get all hot and bothered by Cindy Sheehan. Sheehan has been camped out at the base of Bush's driveway in Texas waiting for a chance to tell him how she feels about her son's death in Iraq.
O'Reilly, predictably, labeled her treasonous, but also made a strange leap:
Malkin, however, is magically able to channel the emotional responses of a Casey, Cindy Sheehan's fallen son, and divine what his reaction to his mother's behaviour would be.

Also, Check out Malkin's continued tirades against Sheehan here.
Look. This fits into the Republican propaganda machine really easily. Sheehan has been camped out in Crawford now for almost a week. The story really broke on Saturday. It's taken until today for the Right to even catch up to the story. And the way they operate is slander, superimpose, agendize and justify. It has little relevance to what Sheehan is saying. In fact, the whole goal is to distract from what Sheehan is saying. Anything the Right can do to remove the impetus to focus on her message is helpful for them.

O'Reilly, predictably, labeled her treasonous, but also made a strange leap:
Bill: I think Mrs. Sheehan bears some responsibility for this [publicity] and also for the responsibility for the other American families who lost sons and daughters in Iraq who feel this kind of behavior borders on treasonous.Bill thinks that Sheehan is responsible to the emotional reactions of every family in the war. It's a difficult assertion to make. Sheehan wants to tell Bush how much it hurts her when Bush uses her son's death as a justification for a war that is unjustified, in her opinion. That every time Bush says that his death should not be in vain, it hurts her. This is an emotional response. O'Reilly apparently believes that Sheehan's emotional response is a treasonous one.
Malkin, however, is magically able to channel the emotional responses of a Casey, Cindy Sheehan's fallen son, and divine what his reaction to his mother's behaviour would be.
Michelle: I can’t imagine that Casey Sheehan would approve of such behavior. This attempt to project the emotional responses is truly a moronic and strange exercise. Its a clear judgement, but it also operates within a system of hierarchical understanding. How would the males react to these people's responses? In fact, this has less to do with Sheehan's family's emotions, and more to do with O'Reilly's audiences' understanding of the world.
